Brand Films & Commercials

A brand film is one film with a story in it. Not a set of clips - a single piece someone watches to the end. A hotel wants a viewer to feel that a room is worth the drive. A restaurant wants them hungry before they have walked in. The film is built to leave that feeling behind.

So the work starts with the story, not with the shoot. What the place does, who is in it, and which hour of its day is worth filming. Heero Agency has filmed inside restaurants and venues across Morocco, on its own cameras and lighting through Heero Cam.

01. Finding the story

Every place has one thing a viewer would remember it for. A cook who has been there since it opened. A view that only works for twenty minutes a day. A product made by hand in a room nobody sees. We look for that first, because a film with no centre turns into a slideshow of a nice room.

Then we settle on one story and leave the rest out. A film that tries to say five things rarely lands one of them. If a second idea is worth telling, it is worth its own film another time.

02. The people in the film

The people on camera are the people who work in the place: the chef, the owner, whoever actually makes the thing. A viewer reads that in a few seconds. A face hired for the day turns a film about a place into a film about nobody in particular.

We meet them before the shoot, so nobody is handed a camera and a stranger at the same moment. Some are comfortable talking; others come across better working, and either way there are no lines to learn.

03. Filming a place that stays open

A restaurant cannot close for a day of filming, and a hotel cannot empty its rooms. We film around that: the kitchen between orders, the dining room before the first table sits, a room in the hour it is turned over. The day is built out of the hours the place can spare.

We don't empty the room for the camera. If a table is taken, we frame around it or come back to it later, and the plan bends to the room rather than the room to the plan. The idea is that the place keeps working while the film is being made.

What you get

One film with a story in it, at the length that story holds rather than a round number fixed in advance.

The people who work in the place on camera, filmed at work rather than reading a line.

A shoot built around your opening hours instead of a day with the doors shut.

Cameras and lighting through Heero Cam, so the film can follow a place from the early morning to the end of the evening.
